Water softening using ion exchangers is a process that typically uses regeneration chemicals in excess. The design was specifically optimized for fully automatic operation without observation. This primarily concerns the stabilization of operating parameters such as operating pressure and pure water performance, as well as behavior during periods of temporarily absent water pressure at the inlet. The hardness measurement cell is made from transparent plastic, so the condition of the system can be read directly on the hardness measurement cell in addition to the display.
