FARITEC biological process water treatment holds building approval Z-83.1-17. As a standalone solution, it fulfils the treatment requirements for systems limiting hydrocarbons in mineral-oil-containing wastewater with extensive water recycling under Part E, paragraph 2 of Annex 49 of the German Wastewater Ordinance.
The FARITEC system uses cascaded aerobic fixed-bed reactors. Microorganisms settle on permanently installed carrier material and form a biofilm. There are no floating carriers that need regular replacement, and activated sludge does not need to be returned to the bioreactor.
